EddyFi Lyft Eddy Current Phased Array Flaw Detector

Under sizing is a common PEC phenomenon, that is, defects smaller than the average area of the probe appear shallower than they actually are. Lyft’s Compensating Wall Thickness (CWT) tool mitigates this phenomenon by measuring the minimum wall thickness of a given region in a C-scan. The CWT tool’s special algorithm isolates the contribution of defects in the A-scan signal to more precisely calculate its minimum wall thickness.
